FUNCTIONALITY AND ADAPTABILITY OF SPACES – porro

The brand was founded in Brianza, the traditional birthplace of Italian quality furniture.

It is in the heart of this district, the fraction of Montesolaro Carimate, that the brothers Giulio and Stefano Porro opened their workshop in 1925 aimed at the production of furnishings for the newly Milanese bourgeoisie.

To differentiate themselves from competitors and face the market with innovative products, in the 70s Porro began working with A&D of Luigi Massoni and Piergiorgio Cazzaniga, who join the company in defining its identity until the transition to a new type of products,the modular furniture, which is still the core business of the brand.

The brand production is based on assumptions that make it the protagonist not only in domestic environments but also in the contract.

The culture of furniture together with the principles that govern production, such as clean lines, shapes and functionality have enabled Porro gradually to secure a large share of the international market, without betraying its origins.
